(1) The Director General, with the approval of the Chairman, shall appoint the Deans of the University from amongst the faculties of the University. (2) The Deans shall assist the Director General and respective Directors of the Institutes or Centers in managing the academic and other affairs of the University, Institutes and Centers, and shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be prescribed or entrusted to them by the Director General.
