Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Statutes may provide for all or any of the following matters:— (1) the constitution, powers and duties of the authorities of the University; Statutes. 237 The Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 2000. (2) the powers, functions, duties, manner of appointment and terms and conditions of service of the officers, other than the Vice-Chancellor; (3) the designation, manner of appointment and terms and conditions of service of the Teachers of the University and other employees (other than the officers); (4) the conferment and withdrawal of honorary degrees and academic distinctions; (5) the establishment, amalgamation, sub-division and abolition of Faculties; (6) the establishment of Departments of Teaching in the Faculties; (7) the procedure of appointment, emoluments and other conditions of service of the Vice-Chancellor; (8) the institution of pension, provident fund and insurance scheme for the benefit of the employees; (9) the constitution of different authorities and Students' Union; (10) such other matters as are required to be, or maybe, prescribed by Statutes.
