- S. 1(1) This Act may be called the Jadavpur University Act, 1981

- S. 8(1) The Governor shall, by virtue of his office, be the Chancellor of the University
- S. 9(1) The Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chancellor on the unanimous recommendation of the Court

- S. 25There shall be a Finance Committee with the Vice-Chancellor as the Chairman

- S. 27(1) Four members, of whom two shall be experts, shall be a quorum for a meeting of a Selection Committee
