(1) Any vacancy in the office of the President or the Vice-President due to death, resignation or removal or becoming incapable of acting as such or otherwise ceasing to be a President or Vice-President previous to the expiry of his term of office, shall be filled by the Board by election of a person thereto, who shall hold office so long only as the Resignation of President or Vice- President or Member. Removal of members for misconduct, etc. Filling up of casual vacancies. [Act No.I of 1956] 29 President or the Vice-President in whose place he is elected, would have held it if the vacancy had not occurred. (2) Any vacancy in the office of a member due to any of the causes mentioned in sub-section (1) shall be reported by the Executive Officer to the Collector. Such vacancy shall be filled by election of a person thereto, who shall hold office so long only as the member in whose place he is elected would have held it if the vacancy had not occurred.
