Application of the Factories Act, 1948 to industrial premises.— (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in section 48, the Government may, by notification, declare that all or any of the provisions of the Factories Act, 1948 (Central Act LXIII of 1948) shall apply to all or any classes of industrial premises under this Act. (2) The Government may make rules providing for the measures for securing the safety of persons employed in the industrial premises to which the provisions of the Factories Act, 1948 (Central Act LXIII of 1948) have been made applicable under sub-section (1).
