Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section Appointment (1) of section 14 within three months from the appointed of the first day, the first Registrar shall be appointed by the Govern- ment for a period not exceeding two years. The pay and allowances and other conditions of service of the first Registrar shall be such as may be fixed by the Government in this behalf. This ex ression was substituted for the. expression " the employees regrred to in sub-section (1) of sectlon 36 as on the date to be specified in the order under clause (a) of the said sub- section (1)" by section 4 of the Perarirignar Anna Universltyof Technolo (Second Amendment) Act, I979 (Tamil Nadu Act 11 of 1980), wrch was deemed to have come into force on the4th Sep- tember 1978.
