Act 301 Anna University 905 (2) Such ceraor W not affect- (a) the previous operation of tho said Act ; or (b) any penalty, forfeiture or punishment, incurred in respect of any offence committed against the said Act ; or (c) any investigation, legal proceeding or remedy in respect of such penalty, forfeiture or punishment, and m y such investigation, legal proceeding or remedy may be instituted, continued or enforced and any such penalty, forfeiture or punishment may be imposed as if this Act had not been passed. (3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub- section (I), all statutes, ordinances axid regulations made under the said Act and in force on the appointed day, shall, in so far as they are not inconsistent with the pro- visions of this Act, continue to be in force until they are repealed by statutes, ordinances and regulations made under this Act.
