(1) The Governing Body shall consist of the following persons, The Governing namely:- (i) (ii) (iii) 0V) (V) (vi) (vii) ' the Chancellor; the Vice-Chancellor; three persons nominated by the Society, out ofwhom two shall be eminent educationists; one expert of management or information technology from outside the University nominated by the Chancellor; one expert of finance, nominated by the Chancellor; the Executive Director; and the Secretary to Govemment of Punjab, Department of Higher Education or his representative not below the rank of Joint Secretary. It shall perform the following functions, namely:- (i) to provide general superintendence and to give directions for-controlling the functioning of the University in accordance with the statutes, the ordinances and the regulations; 83 PUNJAB GOVT.
