The provisions of the Employee’s Compensation Act, 1923 (Central Act 8 of 1923) and the rules made thereunder shall apply to the workers employed in any establishment, firm, shops, catering establishments, godowns, markets, rice and dhal mills, theaters, etc., and for that purpose, they shall be deemed to be an ‘employee’ within the meaning of that Act.
