Provisions, maintenance and management of hostels :– The municipality may, subject to the prescriber rules, – (a) provide buildings within or without the municipality, to be used as hostels in connection with schools for the maintenance and management of which the municipality is responsible under Section 357 or Section 358, and maintain and manage such hostels; (b) make grants-in-aid to any schools or educational institutions referred to in Section 358 for the purpose of providing buildings to be used as student's hostels in connection with such school, college or institution or for the purpose of maintaining and managing such hostels; or (c) establish or grant scholarship for the furtherance of technical or any other special form of education.
