Grant-in-aid by the State Government to municipality :– The State Government may, from time to time, make such grants-in-aid to a municipality as they may deem necessary for expenditure on– 135 THE ORISSA MUNICIPAL ACT, 1950 (a) the improvement of any school recognised by them, (b) the provision of buildings to be used as student's hostels in connection with any school referred to in Section 358 or any other educational institution and the maintenance and management of such hostels. And subject to the prescribed rules the municipality shall be charged with and be responsible for the proper distribution or such funds.
