(1) The following shall be the member of Governing Council: (i) The Chancellor shall be the ex-officio Co-chairman. (ii) The Pro chancellor shall be the ex officio Co-Chairman. (iii) The Vice Chancellor shall be the ex officio Vice Chairman (N) The Director Incharge of the operations in Nagaland shall be an ex officio member. (v) The Fiance Officer shall be an ex officio member; (vi) One nominee of thevisitor; (uii) Two eminent educationist/academicians nominated by the Chancellor; (viii) Three person nominated by the Nagaland Baptist Church Council; (ix) Five persons nominated by the Councils of Baptist Churches in North East India; (x) Two person nominatedby the Pro Chancellor; (xi) Two member of the teaching community of the University to be nominated by the Academic Councils; and (xii) The Registrar shall be the ex officio Secretay. (2) The Governing Councils shall be reconstituted every five years. (3) A nominated member may resign from the membership of the Governing Council at any time by addressing his resignation to the Chancellor. - - (4) An ex officio shall cease to be a member of the Governing Council if he ceases to be in office by virtue of which he became an ex officio member. (5) A nominated member shall cease to be amember of the Governing Council if he ceases to be in office on account of which he was nominated to the Governing Council. (6) Amember shall cease to be a member of the Goveming Council on declaration to be ofunsound mind or insolvent by a competent court or if he convicted for acriminal offence involving moral Qitude or ifhe fails three consecutive meetings of the Council. (7) The nominating authorities shall have aright to replace their nominees to the Council at any point of time.
