(1) A member of the Board, other than an ex-officio member, may resign his seat by giving notice thereof in writing to the Chairman, and such, member shall he deemed to have vacated his seat from the date of acceptance of his resignation by the Chairman (2) The State Government may, by notification remove any nominated or co-opted member, who remains absent from three consecutive meetings of the Board without the leave of the Board. (3) In the event of a casual vacancy occurring by resignation, removal, death or disqualification of a member such vacancy shall be filled by nomination or co- option, as the case may be, in the manner provided in Section 4. Any person nominated or co-opted to lilt a casual vacancy shall hold office for the unexpired portion of the term of office of the member in whose place he is nominate or co- opted.
