Amendment of section 3:- In section 3 of the Mizoram Lokayukta Act, 2014 (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act), (1) In clause (a) of sub-section 2, after the semi-colon, the word “and” shall be substituted by the words “and/or, it appointed,”. (2) Sub-section 3 shall be substituted by the following namely :- (3) A person shall be eligible to be appointed,- - 2 - Ex-93/2016 (a) As a Chairperson or as a Member other than a Judicial member, if he is a person of impeccable integrity outstanding ability having special knowledge and expertise of not less than twenty years in the matters relating to anti-corruption policy, public administration, vigilance, finance including insurance and banking, law, and management; (b) As a Chairperson or as a Judicial Member if such person (i) is qualified to be a High Court Judge, or (ii) has a vast knowledge of law and experience in judicial matters or courts.”
