- S. 1Short title, extend and commencement: (1) This Act may be called the Mizoram Lokayukta (Amendment) Act, 2016
- S. 2Section amends eligibility criteria for appointing Chairpersons and Members to the Mizoram Lokayukta, emphasizing integrity, experience, and legal expertise.
- S. 3Section 3 amends the Principal Act to replace references to "Chairperson and Members" with "Lokayukta".
- S. 4Amendment of section 5:- Section 5 of the Principal Act shall be substituted by the following, namely :- “5
- S. 5Section 5 amends the Principal Act by changing the title of the chairperson and members to "Lokayukta."
- S. 6Section 6 amends section 7 of the Principal Act to clarify the appointment conditions for Members.
- S. 7Section 7 amends the Mizoram Lok Ayukta Act to allow the Chairperson and appointed Members to function.
- S. 8Section amends section 9 of the Principal Act to clarify the availability of members for the Mizoram Lokayukta.
- S. 9Section removes requirement for at least two members in the bench of the Mizoram Lokyukta.
- S. 10Amendment of section 56:- Section 56 of the Principal Act shall be substituted by the following, namely,- “56
- S. 11Amendment of section 57:- Clause (a) of sub-section 2 of section 57 shall be omitted
