Men and women shall be equally eligible for admission to and as students of the University and for appointment to any Authority, ofiice or employment of or under the University. 17.(1) The Uniyersity being a University established under a State Act, it shall also be deemed to be established under section~‘2(f) of the UGC Act and shall be eligible to apply fortapplication, recognition and iistingby the UGC under section 2(1) andysection 22 or under any other section of theUGCAct. ‘ . Mien! “a ofthe 17 (2) The University shall also establish a unique walk in, study and get certified International Skill Training school in various parts of the State which shall be openedto all and the courses taught in thateentreshall be free of cost to the 7 students with twenty percent of the seats reserved for' students fine: the State omehpur. 20.0) The University1s empoweted toestablish, create, accredit and to recognize constituent colleges/ eentres/ schools/ institutes and bodies underthemanagement and control ofthe University. ' , . 1 (2) The constituent colleges! centres/ sehools/ institutes and bodies shall be established and managed by the University as per their respective Ordinances. Name of 1 such Institutes shall be as per the decision of the Goveming Board. (3) The University may also cellaboifate with esteemed houses, corporate bodies, embaSsies; consulates, diplomatic missions and organizations for“ the establishment of specialized institutes/colleges and for the introduction of special courses after observing due process through the concerned Ministries, Agencies etc. as may be required. 21.0) The tWenty percehtage of the seats in all the regular courses conducted on the main campus ofthe University in the State shall compulsorily be reserved exclusively for the students domiciled in the State of Manipur or State - Subjects or legal residents of State of Manipur or these belonging to the State origin including the indigenous population of Manipur origin at all times. The policy for reservation of such seats shall be developed by the University1n association with the State. 1 (2) The UniversityShall make p‘roV‘isions for'resei'vation of non-teaehing, non-administrative pests of the University inside the State Of Manipur for persons domiciled in the State of Manipur to the extent of at least. fifly percent of thetotal number of non-teaching/non-adxnixfistrative employees ofthe Universityinside the StateofManipur.
