Labour Officers and Deputy Labour Officers-(1) The State Government may, by notification, appoint persons in such number as it thinks fit to be Labour Officers and Deputy Labour Officers. (2) A Labour Officer appointed under sub-section (1) shall exercise jurisdiction within such local area or areas as may, from time to time, be assigned to him by the Commissioner of Labour. (3) A Deputy Labour Officer appointed under sub-section (1) shall exercise such powers and perform such duties of a Labour Officer under this Act, as may from time to time, be assigned to him by the Commissioner of Labour in such local as may be specified by him.
