Power to declare certain publications forfeited and to Issue search warrants for same.-

Where any newspaper, book or other document wherever made appears to the Government to contain any words, signs or visible representations of the nature referred to or described in section 41, sub-section (1), the Government may by notification In the Gazette, stating the grounds of their opinion, declare every copy of the issue of the newspaper, and every copy of such book or other document to be forfeited to the Government, and thereupon any Police Officer may seize the same wherever found in the State of Travancore-Cochin, and any Magistrate may by warrant authorise any Police officer not below the rank of an Inspector to enter upon and search for the same in any premises where any copy of such issue or any such book or other document may be or may be reasonably suspected to be.
