Every person appointed to a category shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation. (i) If recruited direct or by transfer from any other service, for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Provided that a person appointed to the post of Assistant Registrar by direct recruitment shall be on probation only for a total period of one year on duty within a continuous period of two years. (ii) In other cases for a total period of one year on duty within a continuous period of two years. (iii) Every persons appointed to the post of Editor-cum-Press Relation Officer, shall from the date of his joining duty, be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years).
