A. person appointed to the post of Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies by direct recruitment shall undergo training fora period of two years. During this period he shall work as Co-operative Inspector or Extension officer for six months in the office of the Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies (General), for six months in the office of the Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies (Audit), for three months in the office of the Registrar of Co-operative Societies for three months and in the Revenue Department tor three months (in various offices). He shall also undergo one month's training each in the State Co-operative Bank in the Co-operative Central Land Mortgage Bank and in the office of the Director of Industries and Commerce. He shall undergo the General Basic Course conducted by the National Committee for Co-operative Training soon after the completion of the above training, if he does not possess any basic qualification in Co-operation.) (b) Such person, shall until he completes the prescribed period of training draw a consolidated allowance of Rs.300 a month in all, if he was already in the service of the State Government at the time of his appointment to the post he will be paid during the period of such training a consolidated allowance equal to the pay and allowances he would have drawn but for his appointment to the post subject to a minimum of Rs.300/-. The period of training shall not count towards probation in the cadre of Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies or for increments in the time scale of pay of the post. Provided that a person appointed by special recruitment from among Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall, during the prescribed period of training, draw an amount equal to the minimum of the scale of pay for the post plus, the usual allowances attached to the post.
