3(a) Qualifications regarding age.— A candidate for appointment by direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Registrar (category 5) and Editor cum Press Relations Officer (Category 6) must have completed 20 years of age and must not have completed 37 years of age on the 1 st day of January of the year in which applications for appointments are invited by the Commission]. (b) Other qualifications.— No person shall be eligible for appointment to the category mentioned in column (1) and by the method specified in Column (2) of the table below unless he possesses the qualifications specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) thereof: TABLE Post Method Qualification (1) (2) (3) Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies Transfer 1. A degree in Law of a recognised University 2. Service of not less than 10 years in the Gazetted cadre in the Development Department like industries, Agriculture, or Community Development. 3. Age not less than 45 years Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies (including Marketing Officer) Direct Recruitment A degree of B.A or BSc. or B.Com of a recognised University Editor-cum-Press Relation Officer Direct Recruitment Essential: (a) Graduation from a recognised University, Graduate with Malayalam as main subject will be preferred (b) Diploma in Journalism Desirable: (a) Ability to write and produce articles highlighting the development of the Co-operative Sector (b) Capacity to produce press releases and arrange radio and Television interviews (c) Reservation of appointments.— The rules of reservation of appointment (General rules 14-17) shall apply to appointments by direct recruitment.
