Provision of places and appliances for disinfection.- The municipality may, and when the State Government so directs, shall - (a) provide proper places, with all necessary attendants and apparatus, for the disinfection of conveyances, clothing, bedding or other articles which have been exposed to infection ; (b) cause conveyances, clothing or other articles brought for disinfection to be disinfected free of charge or subject to such charges as may be approved by it ; and (c) direct any clothing, bedding or other articles likely to retain infection to be disinfected or destroyed, and shall give compensation for any articles destroyed under this sub-section. 82
