(1) The Government shall, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint a Registrar who shall be a Physiotherapist. (2) The method of appointment, salary, allowances, suspension, dismissal, removal and other terms and conditions of service of the Registrar shall be such, as may be prescribed. (3) Subject to the general superintendence and control by the Council, the Registrar shall be responsible for the performance of day-to-day affairs of the Council and such other functions, as may be assigned to him by the Council from time to time. (4) During any temporary vacancy in the office of the Registrar due to leave or any other reason, the Executive Committee may, with the previous sanction of the Government, appoint any member to act in his place, and such person so appointed shall, for the period of such appointment, be deemed to be the Registrar for the purposes of this Act. (5) The accounts of the Council shall be maintained by the Registrar in such manner, as may be prescribed. (6) The Registrar shall have supervisory powers over the staff and shall perform such other duties and discharge such other functions, as may be prescribed. Other employees of Council.
