(1) The Government may, on the recommendation of the Board and after making such further inquiry, as it may think fit, by order, remove any member of the Board or Governing Council or any Committee thereof, if such member,— (a) has been convicted by a court for any offence involving moral turpitude; or (b) is an undischarged insolvent; or (c) has been declared physically disabled by such medical authority as the Government may specify; or (d) isof unsound mind and stands so declared by the competent court; or Disqualification of Chairman and members of Board. (2) The Government may suo motu by order remove any member of the Board or Governing Council or any Committee, nominated or appointed, whose activities are, in the opinion of the Government detrimental to or obstruct, the proper functioning of the Board or Governing Council or of any Committee thereof: Provided that no member shall be removed from office unless he has been given a reasonable opportunity of showing cause why such order should not be made against him. (3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-sections (1) and (2), the nominated member of the Board shall hold office during the pleasure of the Government and shall be removed at any time by the Governnient, if it deems fit.
