For the second and third proviso to sub-section (1) of section 9 of the principal Act, the following provisos shall be substituted, namely:- “Provided further that there shall be a common cadre for promotion to the post of Engineer-in-Chief: Provided further that there shall be separate post of Chief Engineer (Electrical) for Electrical cadre and Chief Engineer (Mechanical) for Mechanical cadre and same shall be filled up by the Committee constituted under section 8 on the basis of seniority-cum-merit. The seniority shall be determined by the length of Service on the post of Superintending Engineer in their respective cadre.”. Amendment of section 9 of Haryana Act 30 of 2010.
