- S. 1(1) This Act may be called the Haryana Public Libraries Act, 1989
- S. 2—
- S. 3(1) The State Government shall establish, maintain and develop Library service in the State

- S. 6(1) The State Government shall constitute a State Library Directorate which shall be a department of the Government
- S. 7The State Government shall by an order establish a State Central Library located in the State

- S. 10(1) The State Central Library shall have at least two sections, viz
- S. 11(1) The Officer-in-charge of the State Central Library shall be known as the State Librarian
- S. 12(1) There shall be a District Library in each district rendering book service to the resident of district

- S. 19(1) There shall be three types of library funds in the State:— (a) The State Library Fund

- S. 22The Authority shall prepare model bye-laws, rules and regulations regarding the administration of library service in the

- S. 24(1) The State Government may, by notification, make rules for carrying out the purposes of this Act
