A prisoner may be eligible for consideration for shifting to open air prison, if he, - (a) does not fall within any of the categories specified in rule 947 above; (b) has completed one year in the semi- open air prison if sentenced up to 10 years and two years in the semi- open air prison if sentenced for more than 10 years; (c) has maintained excellent conduct inside the semi- open air prison and has performed labour with due devotion and diligence; (d) has good character and maintains self-discipline; (e) has strong group adjustability and sense of responsibility.
