Education in prisons being an important means towards the objective of reformative treatment, the education personnel shall so discharge their duties as to offer a comprehensive program of education to prisoners and the specific duties of the education functionaries shall be as follows, namely:- (a) conducting diversified educational programs covering health, academics, social and moral education; (b) creating symbiotic network between prison education and mainstream education; (c) screening of newly admitted inmates for the determination of their educational aptitude, abilities and interests; 1330 HARYANA GOVT.
