(1) In prisons where there is more than one Medical Officer, the hours of duty shall be so distributed amongst them by the Medical Officer (in charge) that at least one Medical Officer remains available round the clock. (2) In prisons where there is only one Medical Officer, he shall be on duty during the day and shall remain on call at night to take care of any emergency.
