- S. 1(1) This Act may be called the Gujarat Infrastructure Development (Amendment) Act, 2006
- S. 2Section amends definitions in Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, adding "concession" and "proposal" definitions, and removing "clause (q)."
- S. 3The section amends the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act to allow the State Government to extend concession periods and modify agreements.
- S. 4Amends section 5 of the principal act to replace "prescribed" with "provided" and adds section 10A to section 10.
- S. 5Amends Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act to limit financial assistance to 20% of project cost.
- S. 6Section amends the principal act to replace "No concession agreement" with "Subject to section 10A, no concession agreement".
- S. 7Modifies the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act to allow inviting comparative bids in infrastructure projects.
- S. 8Section amends previous sections and substitutes a new one for selecting developers via competitive public bidding.
- S. 9Section 9 amends the process for inviting and evaluating comparative bids for infrastructure projects in Gujarat.
- S. 10After section 10, the following section shall be inserted, namely :- “10A
- S. 11Section 11 allows the State Government to amend or omit projects in specified schedules by official notification.
- S. 12Section 12 amends section 37 of the principal act by deleting clauses (a) and (b) and substituting new clauses (c) and (cc).
- S. 13Section 13 amends section 38 of the principal act to specify cost thresholds for project proposals to the Board.
- S. 14Adds Schedule III to the principal Act listing projects of special nature for infrastructure development in Gujarat.
