Prohibition of use for drinking or for other domestic purposes of water likely to cause dangerous disease.— (1) If it appears to the Medical Officer of Health that the water in any well, tank or other place is likely, if used for the purpose of drinking or for any other domestic purpose, to endanger or cause the spread of any dangerous disease, he may by public notice prohibit the removal or use of the said water for such purpose. (2) No person shall remove or use for such purpose any water in respect of which any such public notice has been issued.
