Every Civil Police station shall be under the control of the [Deputy Commissioner]r but its administration with regard ta the pay, allowances, clothing,transfer and discipline of the staff shall be vested in the Superintendent of Police of the District which fumished the staff or such other police officer as the Govemment may appoint in this behalf, provided that transfer shall be made in consultation with the [Deputy Commissioner.l'
