(1) An elected member of a Standing Committee shall hold office for a period of four years or for so l°ng as he continues to be a member of the Anehalik Parishad, whichever is earlier. (2) An officer appointed as a member under clause (ii) of sub-section (1) of section 80 shall hold office until another officer is appointed to replace him (3) A nominated member shall hold office for a period of four years: Provided that a nominated member shall continue in office after the expiry of the said period until a new member is nominated in his place.
