An Anchalik Perished may take over the mainten- ance and control of any road, bridge, tank, ghat, well, channel or drain belonging to a private owner or any other authority on such terms as may be agreed upon. G9. An Anchalik Parishad may divert, discontinue or close temporarily any road which is under its control and management or is vested in it, and may, with the approval of the State Government, close any such road permanently.
