(1) The West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences Ordinance, 1994, is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been validly done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act. THE SCHEDULE (See section 38) Amendment of the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 1974. In the Bidhan Chandra ICrishi.Viswavidyalaya Act, 1974,— (1) in the preamble, the words ", animal husbandry" shall be omitted; (2) in clause (2) of section 2, the words "livestock production, veterinary and dairy sciences, fisheries" shall be omitted; (3) in clause (1) of section 5, the words "veterinary and animal sciences, fisheries," shall be omitted; (4) in sub-section (1) of section 14, for the words "Faculties of Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal sciences,", the words "Faculty of Agriculture" shall be substituted; (5) in sub-section (1) of section 41, the words "and the Bengal Veterinary College, Calcutta, stand disaffiliated from the University of Calcutta" shall be omitted.
