(1) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Division of assets, and Gazette, transfer such assets and liabilities including lands, buildings, seat of books, equipments, laboratories and furniture belonging to the Faculty University. of Veterinary and Animal Sciences located at Belgachia in Calcutta and Mohanpur in the district of Nadia as may be considered necessary for the proper functioning of the University. (2) Any of the assets referred to in sub-section (1) representing immovable properties may be mutually transferred on such terms and conditions, not being less advantageous than what the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of the former University was entitled to on the day immediately before the appointed day, as the State Government may determine. (3) The State Government may constitute a committee consisting of the following members to aid and advise that Government for the purposes of sub-section (1) and sub-section (2):— (a) the Vice-Chancellor of the former University, (b) the Vice-Chancellor, (c) one representative of the Department of Agriculture, Govern- ment of West Bengal, (d) one representative of the Department of Animal Resources Development, Government of West Bengal, (e) one representative of the Finance Department, Government of West Bengal, (f) one representative of the Department of Fisheries, Govern- ment of West Bengal, (g) the Director of Research, Extension and Farms, and (h) the Director of Research of the former University. 121 The West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences Act, 1995. (4) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (3) of section 3, during the period of repair and renovation, if any, of the administrative buildings, laboratories, hospital, students' hostel, staff quarters and other essential buildings, the University may function at Belgachia in Calcutta or Mohanpur in the district of Nadia or Junput in the district of Midnapore or at such other place as the concerned Department may decide, and the existing lands, buildings, libraries, laboratories, equipments, hospitals, hostels and staff quarters at any such place may be used for the purpose.
