Subject to the provisions of this Act the Statutes may provide for all or any of the following matters:— (1) the constitution, powers and duties of the authorities of the University; (2) the powers, functions, duties, manner of appointment and terms and conditions of service of the officers other than the Vice-Chancellor; (3) the designation, manner of appointment and terms and conditions of service of the Teachers of the University and other employees (other than the officers); (4) the conferment and withdrawal of honorary degrees and academic distinctions; (5) the establishment, amalgamation, sub-division and abolition of Faculties; (6) the establishment of Departments of teaching in the Faculties; (7) the procedure of appointment, emoluments and other conditions of service of the Vice-Chancellor; (8) the institution of pension, provident fund and insurance scheme for the benefit of the employees; (9) such other matters which are required to be or may be prescribed. 118 VI of 1995.] The West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences Act, 1995.
