(1) The University shall have the Faculties of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Fishery Sciences, and Dairy Technology, and such other Faculties as may be prescribed. (2) Each Faculty shall comprise such Departments, and shall deal with such subjects of study, as may be prescribed. (3) There shall be a Board of Studies for each subject of study at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels, the constitution and powers of which shall be such as may be prescribed. (4) There shall be a Dean for each Faculty who shall be chosen in such manner and for such term as may be prescribed. (5) The Dean shall be the academic Head of the Faculty and shall be responsible for the faithful observance of the Statutes and the Regulations relating to the Faculty and for the organisation and conduct of teaching, research and extension work of the Departments comprised therein. In carrying out the research and extension programmes, he shall work in close co-operation with the Director of Research, Extension and Farms. (6) Each Department shall have a Head who shall be appointed in such manner, and shall exercise such powers and perform such functions, as may be prescribed.
