(1) On and after the day on which a scheme comes into force, any person continuing to occupy any land which he is not entitled to occcupy under the scheme may, in accordance with the prescribed procedure, be summarily evicted by the Development Authority or any of its officers authorised in that behalf. (2) If the Development Authority is opposed or obstructed in evicting such persons or taking possession of land from such persons, the Commissioner of Police, Calcutta or the District Magistrate, within whose jurisdiction the land is situated, shall, on the application of the Authority, enforce the eviction of such persons or secure delivery of possession of the land to such Authority.
