(1) If the Development Authority is opposed or obstructed in taking possession of the land under section 66, it shall apply to the Commissioner of Police, Calcutta, or to the District Magistrate of the District, within whose jurisdiction the land is situated, to enforce the delivery of the possession of the land to the said Authority. The Commissioner of Police, Calcutta, or the District Magistrate, as the case may be, shall take or cause to be taken such steps and use or cause to be used such force as may be reasonably necessary for securing the delivery of possession of the land to the Authority. (2) For the avoidance of doubt, it is hereby declared that the power to take steps under sub-section (1) includes the power to enter upon any land or other property whatsoever.
