(1) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the University's Statutes, the Ordinances and the University's regulations, the State Government may make rules for the purpose of duly carrying out the provisions of, or exercising the powers conferred by, this Act or to provide for matters which, by the University's Statutes, the Ordinances or the University's regulations, are required to be prescribed by rules. (2) Every rule made by the State Government under this Act shall. as soon as it is made, be laid before the State Legislature.
