In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,— (a) "the Corporation" means the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and the Other Backward Classes Development and Finance Corporation established under sub-section (1) of section 3; (b) "marketing" includes all activities in connection with the transport, grading, pooling, marketing and sale of industrial produce, whether in the primary form or in semi-processed or processed form; (c) "notification" means a notification published in the Official Gazette; (d) "Other Backward Classes" means such classes as the State Government may, by notification, specify from time to time; (e) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act; (f) "Scheduled Castes" shall have the same meaning as in clause (24) of article 366 of the Constitution of India (hereinafter referred to as the Constitution); (g) "Scheduled Tribes" shall have the same meaning as in clause (25) of article 366 of the Constitution of India (hereinafter referred to as the Constitution); (h) "traditional occupation" means caste or community based occupations followed by the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and the Other Backward Classes.
