In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "the Act" means the West Bengal Premises Rent Control (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1950 as in force for the time being and includes the rules made thereunder; (b) "Tollygunge" means the area formerly comprised within the Municipality of Tollygunge which has been included within Calcutta as from the 1st day of April, 1953 by notification under section 594 of the Calcutta Municipal Act, 1951; (c) expressions used in this Act and not otherwise defined have the same meaning as in the Act.
