The Municipal Vigilance Authority appointed under sub-section (1) of section 27A of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, 1980, shall, by virtue of sub- section (1) and sub-section (6) of section 27A of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, 1980, enquire into any complaint of corruption, misconduct, lack of integrity or any other kind of malpractice or misdemeanour on part of any officer or other employee of a Corporation as and when required by the Corporation concerned.
