Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this Act, but subject to the proviso to sub-section (5) of section 1, the provisions of this chapter shall apply to the Corporation in the hill areas and shall be construed to be in modification of, or to be supplementing, the other provisions of this Act in their application to such Corporation.
