(1) The Corporation may give public notice of its intention to declare that in any area specified in the notice, no person shall use any premises for any purpose specified in such notice and for reasons stated therein. (2) Objections to any notice under sub-section (1) shall be received within a period of one month from the date of publication of the notice. 4 PART THE KOLKATA GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, MAY 29, 2008 111 The West Bengal Municipal Corporation Act, 2006. (3) The Corporation shall consider all objections, received within the period as aforesaid, after giving any person affected by the notice an opportunity of being heard and may, thereupon, make a declaration in accordance with the notice published under sub-section (1) with such modifications, if any, as it may think fit. Every declaration made under this sub-section shall be published in such manner as may be prescribed and shall take effect from the date of such publication. (4) No person shall, in any area specified in the declaration under sub-section (3), use any premises for any purpose specified in the declaration, and the Corporation shall have the power to stop the use of any such premises by such means as it considers necessary.
