- S. 1(1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Municipal (Amendment) Act, 2022
- S. 2Amends West Bengal Municipal Act to establish a Chairman-in-Council with a variable number of elected members.
- S. 3Section 3 amends the West Bengal Municipal Act to allow the Executive Officer to make property assessment changes, with Board approval, and adds conditions for automated updates.
- S. 4The section amends the West Bengal Municipal Act to replace references to the Chairman-in-Council with the Executive Officer and modifies valuation and assessment procedures.
- S. 5After section 114 of the principal Act, the following section shall be inserted:— "Intimation to Valuation Board 114A
- S. 6Section 6 amends the West Bengal Municipal Act to replace "Chairman" with "Executive Officer" and adds approval requirements for actions by the Executive Officer.
- S. 7Section 7 amends the principal Act to replace "Board of Councillors" with "Committee appointed by the Board."
- S. 8Replaces "The Board of Councillors" with "The Committee referred to in section 204" in section 206(2) of the principal Act.
- S. 9Reduces the notice period for municipal council meetings from sixty to fifteen days and changes the decision-making body reference.
- S. 10Section 10 amends the principal Act to replace references to the "Board of Councillors" with "the Committee referred to in section 204."
- S. 11Section 209 of the principal Act shall be omitted
- S. 12Section 12 amends the principal Act to replace "Board of Councillors" with "Committee referred to in section 204" in section 211.
- S. 13Section 13 amends the principal Act to replace "Board of Councillors" with "Committee referred to in section 204" in section 213.
