In the West Bengal State Tax on Consumption or Use of Goods Act, 2001,— (1) in section 2, in sub-section (1), in clause (a), for the words "manufacture of goods", the words "manufacture of goods, whether specified in the Schedule or not," shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been substituted, on the 1st day of August, 2001; (2) in the Schedule, for the entries against item No. 11, the following entries shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been substituted, on the 1st day of March, 2002:— "Medical instruments including diagnostic instruments such as X- ray machine and ultrasonography machine.".
