(1) The Finance Officer shall be a whole-time officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Executive Council on the recommendation of a Committee consisting of the Vice-Chancellor as the Chairman, two nominees of the Executive Council, a nominee of the Chancellor, and a nominee of the State Government. (2) The Finance Officer may resign his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Vice-Chancellor. (3) If the Finance Officer is for any reason temporarily unable to exercise the powers, and perform the duties, of his office, the Vice-Chancellor may, with the approval of the Executive Council, appoint a person temporarily for a period not exceeding six months, to exercise the powers, and perform the duties, of the Finance Officer.
