- S. 1(1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Duty on Inter-State River Valley Authority Electricity Act, 1973
- S. 2In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— Definitions
- S. 3Section 3 imposes a duty on consumed energy units, exempting certain entities and places from the electricity duty.
- S. 4Section 4 mandates licensees and others receiving inter-state river valley authority electricity to pay prescribed electricity duty to the State Government.
- S. 5Section 5 allows recovery of electricity duty from employees or others using energy supplied by non-licensees or inter-State river valley authorities.
- S. 6Section 6 allows licensees to cut off electricity supply for unpaid duty after notice, and entitles them to a rebate for collection costs.
